Garden makeovers
A garden that doesn’t work for how you live, sorted in one go: patios, paths, lawn, planters, play areas and drainage, planned and built as one job rather than a patchwork.
How much does a garden makeover cost?
Typically £6,000 to £45,000, depending on the size of the garden and what goes into it.
Our low-maintenance family garden in Uttoxeter, with two porcelain patios, a path, a play area and a small lawn, came in at about £12,000 in about 3 weeks. Our Meir new-build garden, with sandstone patios, a pergola area, sleeper planters and a drainage fix, was about £14,000 in about 4 weeks.
What does a garden makeover include?
A low-maintenance family garden in Uttoxeter
A young family with one little one, and a garden that wasn’t usable: uneven, with just a few slabs down.
We laid a big porcelain patio by the house, with porcelain slabs leading up the garden to a second patio at the back for the barbecue. In the gap between the garage and the fence, we made a bark-chip play area. To keep it low maintenance, we left just a small square of lawn, with raised sleeper beds along the fence.
Do you design the garden too?
Yes, both. We can build to your own plan, or work out the layout with you as part of the quote. We think about how you’ll actually use it: somewhere for the kids to play, somewhere to eat outside, or how little time you want to spend mowing.
We also do gardens alongside our building work. One family asked us back to redo their garden about six months after we built their extension.

Common questions
How long does a garden makeover take?
Usually 4 to 8 weeks for a full makeover. Our Uttoxeter family garden took about 3 weeks.
Can you make a garden low maintenance?
Yes. Less lawn and more paving, gravel or planters makes a big difference. In Uttoxeter we left just a small square of grass that’s quick to look after.
Do you take a deposit?
No. You pay as the job goes, and the final payment is only due when it’s finished.
